Fan Comments about OLD YELLER: "Oh, that was wonderful. I love knowing that I'm not the only one who yells because it's required, not because I really give a damn about him peeing on the outside of some building or climbing up the slide backwards again or whatever. Thanks for a great read!..." Posted by: Melanie Cipher "Thank you - I really thought I was the only one who yelled and felt this way, until now..." Posted by: Heidi "I too am grateful to hear that I'm not the only one who sounds like a bullhorn when it comes to communicating with my 7-year old and 5-year old boys. I know I'm tired of hearing myself yell so I'm sure they are. I appreciate hearing such an honest experience from a real parent..." Posted by: Lisa Foster "My god...I think you wrote everything I feel EVERY day. Before kids. never yelled. barely talked. Now, with my 22 month old and my 3 1/2 year old I YELL ALL THE TIME. No hair pulling. Stop hitting. I don't care if you want to hug her, she doesn't like it. I don't care if you love her. (Can't believe I said that one). I just want to stop yelling...and I have tried...But "now, now, sweetums, we can't play in the road" just doesn't seem as effective as "WHAT ARE YOU DOING! STOP! NEVER PLAY ON THE ROAD-- YOU WANT TO GET HIT BY A CAR???" sorry for such a wordy fan comment...just struck a cord with me..." Posted by: Alicia
