Funny blogs that turn into poignant moments are natural to Julie's writing style. Since the release of her book Somebody's Always Hungry in May of 2008, she has been discovered by others wanting to bring her humanizing touch to their websites. She has even become a blogger in residence at a very prominent home improvement website.

The site that made Julie a blogger in toolbelt is one of the country's most prominent home improvement sites, called Home Tips. Don Vandervort, the company's founder and a recent grandfather, after hearing Julie's book touted by his daughter-in-law who had just given birth, read a few stories right there in the hospital and had an idea: how about a woman's perspective on maintaining a house. So Mom About the House was born.

And, then of course, there are the blogsites that Julie created herself from her creative writing: Julie's Motherhood Blog and Julie's Adult Blog.
