There are pets everywhere ...

Ah, pets. No home would be complete without the animal element. What's a home without floating hair in the air and on all floors?

Get down on all fours and celebrate the furriest members of your family. Send us some pictures and descriptions of your buddies. Also, do your kids even like the animals, or are they really just yours, as the always were??

Here are ours:

Hank, 4, a doofy Great Pyrenees/Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mix. He's like his own floating island paradise, and about as big. Hank's favorite things to do are bark at the pool man, pee on everything, and sleep upside down. Hank is definitely in charge of all the other dogs, but wilts at the presence of the matriarch, Maise.

Maisie, 13, a geeze with a sneeze. She's a yellow lab mix, and she has a nice snorting noise she likes to make. She also likes to lick the baby in the face, which makes my mom ill. She's a gentle soul, just wanders around laying down in different spots. She's been my faithful pet from before the kids. Likes to take a lazy swim in the hot summer.

Owen, 5. You can have this dog if you send me your address. A black Lab/Shepherd mix, my neighbor rescued him and his siblings out of a vacant lot when they were puppies. I brought him home cause he was cute, look how he shakes from fear. NEVER DO THIS. He hadn't been around humans, and was scared of everything. Five years later, he's pretty much still scared of everything. Does love to go on walks on the leash, and sleep at the foot of the bed. He's like a giant cat.

Christmas is a 2 yr old white bunny. Charlotte is a 5 yr old black bunny. Both are very friendly to the point of annoying. Christmas we adopted from the pound when the tortoise died. He's like a large white fur muffin. Charlotte is the bunny we recently got on Craigslist who likes to trash the cage, living out her rock star fantasies on a daily basis. They love each other and sleep on top of each other. The kids could care less about them. We got bunnies because Emma wanted a cat and I was allergic.

Pets R.I.P.

Cinderella, a brown bunny from the pound. Lived, scratched us for six months and croaked.

Winky Grass, a tortoise we found in the road. Was great for about two months. Passed on to Great Tortoise Habitat in the Sky.

Now, you can show me your pets
