Other writing samples, pre-kids mostly and free as a bird ...
Okay, so you have read all the Juliet Johnson stories on this site -- you may have even devoured her blog entries as well -- and now you know that she writes in a way that touches you. Are you ready for other writing samples?
If you want other writing samples from Juliet, you are either a nursing mother (who nurses in front of your computer screen so you can gain some nourishment for yourself) or a JJ addict. You can't stop if you tried. Good luck if it's either...cause we've heard the first leads to the other anyway. This page will bring you to all kinds of Juliet. You can read a short story, a poem, a one-act play, an excerpt from her (yet unpublished) novel, or even an excerpt from one of her screenplays. Click away from this page if you just want to stay in the motherhood JJ. Remain here if you want to get caught in the quicksand of Juliet Johnson. It's the same Juliet -- the one who wrote Somebody's Always Hungry ... Juliet Myfanwy Johnson, the mother of Nathan, Emma and Lilly -- but the links on this page lead to no mention of the family. Tell us if you think it is the same writer. It's quite a trip.
Click here for an early short story Big, Hopeful Loops. It's not that short really (some 20 pages) so give yourself enough time.
How about a poem ... writing of a different color
Click here for a short play starring Juliet's former car
Try here for a chapter from her unpublished novel entitled LARGE - food and loathing in Los Angeles
And finally, for now, check out this excerpt from one of her screenplays
